Flash Point Standards are tested and certified in accordance with ASTM D93 ′Standard Test Method for Flash Point by Pensky Martens Closed Cup Tester - Procedure A′. Procedure A is applicable to distillate fuels - diesel, biodiesel blends, kerosene, heating oil, turbine fuels and lubricating oils. These UKAS certified standards are specifically designed to be used for regular instrument performance checks.
Flash point standard-pensky martens closed cup tester may be used as a standard, to determine the lower flash point for two binary systems comprising of water/acetic acid and water/propionic acid.
- Secondary working standard is categorized in accordance with ASTM D93 Procedure A for equipment performance checks.
