DTSACl functionalized silica nanoparticles incorporated in thermochromic dyes can be used in textile industries. They are also used as quaternary ammonium groups for the modification of nanocelluose/graphene oxide based membranes to be used as stable solid state electrolytes for zinc air batteries.
DTSACl may be used for modification of silica.{61} It was used to functionalize Fe3O4/silica core-shell nanoparticles. {62} DTSACl may be used as a precursor to form silica, 3 and MeMFI zeolite.{63} It acts as a mesopore-generating agent. {64}

The four relaxation process (α,β,γ,δ) of poly(cyclohexyl methacrylate) was studied by investigating its viscoelastic and dielectric properties over a range of temperatures.
Application
Poly(cyclohexyl methacrylate (PCHMA) may be used to prepare polymeric blends with polystyrene and nanocomposites with carbon nanotubes. Densely grafted PCHMA on multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) composites exhibits better mechanical properties and electrical resistance compared to PCHMA blended CNTs composites.
