Steritest® NEO is a membrane filtration device for sterility testing of filterable pharmaceutical products. The device simplifies every aspect of testing, from handling to traceability. The closed system ensures that pharmaceutical products are never exposed to the environment, minimizes false positives, and offers the highest levels of quality and reliability. This test system offers an optimized and fully regulatory compliant testing process when used with the Steritest® Symbio pump, specific accessories and high-quality culture media and rinsing fluids. The device is gamma sterilized and double packed for the quick transfer into sterility testing environments, simplifying decontamination procedures and saving time. A single needle adapter enables an easy access to ampoules or collapsible bags. A separate vent needle is included for the transfer of the test product, culture media or rinsing buffer. General descriptionThe Mounting Kit for Filter allows an upgrade of standard MAS-100 NT® and MAS-100 NT® Ex microbial air samplers with a HEPA H13 filter. If the air samplers are used in different cleanroom classes, there is a minor risk that particles may be carried over inside an instrument. In this case, an upgrade with a HEPA H13 particle filter at the exhaust prevents any potential transfer of particles from higher to lower contaminated areas. The filtration efficiency of 99.95% has been verified under worst case conditions and is maintained even after long term usage of 1 year under normal sampling conditions (10 samples of 1000 Liter per day). No significant impact on the calibration of the instrument is observed in the study. The kit can easily be mounted to the exhaust of the air sampler by a view steps.To ease the workflow, it is recommended to combine the implementation of the mounting kit for filter with the yearly calibration/adjustment of the air sampler. The medium is supplemented with pyruvate, which efficiently neutralizes the presence of hydrogen peroxide used for decontamination of isolators. The neutralizers lecithin, polysorbate Tween®80, histidine, and sodium thiosulfate inactivate possible residues of active agents of disinfectants. In addition, the plate is supplied with a lockable lid (ICRplus;+) for safe transport after sampling without the risk of losing the lid. ICRplus plates are suitable for aerobic and anaerobic incubation by turning the lid into the close position for aerobic incubation and in the vent position for anaerobic incubation. The plates are triple bagged, and gamma irradiated in the final packaging and used for active and passive air monitoring, as well for personnel monitoring.ApplicationTryptic Soy Agar ICR+ settle plates are designed to determine the total aerobic and anaerobic microbial count in air (active and passive) inside isolators and clean rooms.
