The Corning 96 well 1 x 8 Stripwell™ strip plate format coated with the osteo assay surface allows for a unique 3-D structure that mimics in vivo bone for in vitro bone cell assays. These 96 well 1 x 8 Stripwell plates are suitable for osteoblast and osteoclast differentiation and functional studies.

Corning Osteo Assay Surface multiple well plates can be used to assess cell functional activity in response to drug treatment. Research related to basic osteoblast biology focuses on cell differentiation and function. Osteoblasts are of mesenchymal origin. Several growth factors have been implicated in osteoblast differentiation, including bone morphogenic proteins (BMPs) and Indian hedgehog.
